What’s next for us?

Right now at Partner to Decide we have three main priorities:

  1. Increase awareness and use of the labor induction decision aid so that more people can experience the positive impact we saw during testing.

  2. With partners, test the web-based version of the labor induction decision aid, then test and implement it in other settings.

  3. Seek funding to support the design, testing, and evaluation of additional multilingual decision aids to ultimately raise the standard of care and improve experiences for all pregnant and birthing people and the providers who accompany them through their perinatal journey.

We’re testing and refining the decision aid in partnership with three prenatal care sites to implement the induction decision aid as part of work to implement the White House Blueprint for Addressing the Maternal Health Crisis.

Thanks to funding from the Maternal Health Learning & Innovation Center, Partner to Decide staff time, printing, and other implementation and light evaluation costs are provided at no cost to sites. We plan to run a QI project with each site to adopt and implement the decision aid and will use a paper-based version of the tool that links via a QR code to the full web-based tool and to share the findings.
